How We Keep You Informed
Communication with the members of SBYC is accomplished in a number of ways. Each month the Log is published and sent out by email. In this are articles written by each flag officer and director informing the membership of happenings in his/her area of responsibility.
On a weekly basis (and sometimes more often) during the season and on an “as needed” basis throughout the rest of the year, an e-blast is sent out to keep members up to date on what is scheduled for that week, what is coming up in the near future and any news of general interest. Typically, you will also find our weekend menus for the restaurant in this mailing.
We have a directory that is published on a yearly basis containing contact information for each member. A handbook with club history, by-laws and guidelines is also available. Last, but certainly not least, is the SBYC website found at www.sodusbayyc.org. This website, with information about our club and the Sodus Bay area, has recently been re-designed and published as you see it here.
The Sodus Bay Yacht Club provides our members and guests with some of the finest waterfront amenities on Sodus Bay. Of course, boating is a major activity but
there is so much more. When you arrive at the club, there is plentiful parking for members and guests. Youngsters love to play on the sandy beach, while the more adventuresome can enjoy swimming in deeper water right off the docks. The beach is also great for launching small boats and canoes. In addition, we have a ramp and hoist to handle medium size power and sail boats. Like to fish? Toss in a line right from dry land. Our spacious lawn can be used for games, spreading out sails to dry after racing, camping during regattas or simply sitting back and enjoying the view. If you love the water, Sodus Bay Yacht Club is THE place to be.
