Final Results

Wow! What a great party! Oh, and the sailing was fun too! The third day started out as a drifter, and the sailors did what sailors do when not otherwise occupied. There was boogie-boarding behind a sailboat under full power, spinnaker dunking, and in the Level 80 fleet (where all the SBYC boats were) tipping-races, dancing on deck, rafting, and partying. Then the wind came up and everyone scattered into start sequences! No DSQs today, thankfully!

Speaking of thanks, the National Yacht Club showed us generous hospitality (and indulgence), for which we should well be, and are appreciative.

The natives were friendly and hospitable, and while we didn't stay there, we found that the cohosting club (RCYC) received us warmly when we went over there, and threw us a good party. Now if RCYC could only streamline their protest committee process!

RESULTS so far...

Below are links to the official results for the course (Course A) that the participating SBYC boats are racing on, for both days, so far. Winds were lighter today; --better conditions for Yankee. One of the races still shows "protest pending". There were confused signals on the race course so that half the fleet went to one mark, and half the fleet to another. After spending much of the afternoon and evening waiting for or with the protest committee, no decision is yet known to any of our Captains.

Tomorrow we're optimistic for "Soverel weather".

First day results...

Moderate to heavy air today. Mooniegator got a couple of seconds, Erik got a third and a forth, I think, and Yankee, well, we aren't talking... :-( Enough geeking, time to go to the party!
